Bring the Pope to Justice - Newsweek, May 3, 2010.

http://www.newsweek.com/id/236934

a thousand children the world over have been abused by priests and still the Catholic church under the pope is not taking any action.  Parents are scared to send their children to church ..

Quote - The Holy father seems to have been lenient with criminals while reserving his severity for those who complained about them. - unquote

With litigation coming up in the European Court of Human Rights and the International Criminal Court, where even the Pope may have to appear in person to testify and fight for his paedophile priests, the going is getting tough .. The sovereign immunity which His Holiness is claiming as head of the Vatican City is being used a shield to cover up paedophiles in the church. No more will that tactic hold ...

IPL, Modi and other issues ..

With IPL and its administration in deep shit with allegations, counter allegations, sleaze, muck being thrown at others etc.. it is time we did an instrospection of what this is all about..

Here is a good article why we should try to improve the affairs of IPL and not let it die in the quagmire of politics, mudslinging, JPC etc....

The suspended IPL Commissioner Modi may be acting immature and has very murky history, is arrogant and money has gone to his head, but IPL should not be affected because of one iresponsible individual ..

Children and lovers of Priests to sue Catholic church ..

The Catholic Church will have a tough time trying to defend the source of the hush money they have paid to lovers and children of Catholic priests in US ..

The established conventional Catholic church will find it difficultto arrange the money to pay the illegitimate children who will sue the Catholic Church amounting to billions of dollars ..

The problem in India may not be of that magnified but it raises serious questions of who is to be believed and who not?

Home made paper ..

Shred the waste paper and soak it overnight in water.

Blend it in a mixer-grinder with a paste of fenugreek (methi) seeds. For colour, add natural colouring agents like Turmeric powder (Haldi), etc.

Put water in a pan with a wire-mesh inside.

Pour a cup of the blended paper pulp over the mesh and spread it evenly.

Lift the mesh and drain the water.

Place the mesh on one side of an open newspaper and close the newspaper.

Carefully flip the newspaper so that the mesh is on top of the pulp.

Press a flat wooden board on the newspaper to squeeze out water.

Open the newspaper and take out the mesh.

Keep the newspaper open for drying. Dried leaves and petals can be spread on the sheet while it is wet.

Once dried, peel off the sheet from the newspaper.

Lightly iron the sheet under a piece of moist muslin cloth.

Tata's air car ..

More details on Tata's Air Car.

Tata Motors to introduce Air Car - Is it the next big thing?

Tata Motors is taking giant strides and making history for itself. First the
Landrover-Jaguar deal, then the world's cheapest car and now it is also set
to introduce the car that runs on air, compressed air.

With spiralling fuel prices it is about time we heard some breakthrough!

India's largest automaker Tata Motors is set to start producing the world's
first commercial air-powered vehicle.

The Air Car, developed by ex-Formula One engineer Guy Nègre for
Luxembourg-based MDI, uses compressed air, as opposed to the gas-and-oxygen
explosions of internal-combustion models, to push its engine's pistons. Some
6000 zero-emissions Air Cars are scheduled to hit Indian streets by August
2010.

The Air Car, called the MiniCAT could cost around Rs. 3,50,000 ($ 8177) in
India and would have a range of around 300 km between refuels.

The cost of a refill would be about Rs. 85 ($ 2).

The MiniCAT which is a simple, light urban car, with a tubular chassis that
is glued not welded and a body of fiberglass powered by compressed air.
Microcontrollers are used in every device in the car, so one tiny radio
transmitter sends instructions to the lights, indicators etc.

There are no keys - just an access card which can be read by the car from
your pocket. According to the designers, it costs less than 50 rupees per
100Km (about a tenth that of a petrol car). Its mileage is about double that
of the most advanced electric car (200 to 300 km or 10 hours of driving), a
factor which makes a perfect choice in cities where the 80% of motorists
drive at less than 60Km. The car has a top speed of 105 kmph. Refilling the
car will, once the market develops, take place at adapted petrol stations to
administer compressed air.

In two or three minutes, and at a cost of approximately 100 rupees, the car
will be ready to go another 200-300 kilometers.

As a viable alternative, the car carries a small compressor which can be
connected to the mains (220V or 380V) and refill the tank in 3-4 hours. Due
to the absence of combustion and, consequently, of residues, changing the
oil (1 litre of vegetable oil) is necessary only every 50,000Km).

The temperature of the clean air expelled by the exhaust pipe is between
0-15 degrees below zero, which makes it suitable for use by the internal air
conditioning system with no need for gases or loss of power.
