Jail for kanimozhi, is Dayalu ammal far behind??

DMK Chief Karunanidhi's daughter from his third wife, Kanimozhi's bail plea was rejected by a CBI court today. Kanimozhi is to be arrested soon for conspiring with others and for taking a bribe of Rs 200 crores in the 2G scam where A Raja was trying to please his political boss through this bribe ... Being the daughter of a high profile politician she thought nobody could touch her !! How dumb can people get ..? The people have taught the family a tough lesson and CBI is following it up ..

She will be spending the next couple of months in the high profile Tihar jail in New Delhi housing all VIPs and VVIPs. It seems her bodyguards and she herself burst into tears on hearing the court verdict.

Why does a criminal like Kanimozhi require bodyguards to come to the court ? Are we pampering our useless politicians, the criminals too much by giving them perks which they are not at all eligible to ? Will a few teardrops slight a major crime like accepting a HUGE bribe and fooling the people of the land ?

If one has carried out some actions, one should be ready to suffer the consequences of the action .. In this matter it is jail, incarceration and shame ..

When will Dayalu Ammal, the 60% shareholder in Kalaignar TV get a chance to see the inside of the high profile Tihar jail ??

The political class as a group are feeling sorry for her as all of them are in the same boat and are anxious that the same fate should not befall them at a later time.

Yedyurappa gives ultimatum to Governor Bharadwaj in Karnataka ..?

How can a small fry like Yeddy do it to a constitutional legal expert like HE Dr H R Bharadwaj.. ?

Maybe after listening to his party supporters Yeddy must have regained his confidence and is trying to wrestle his muscles with the Governor.

The Governor has interpreted the SC order setting aside the Karnataka assembly speaker Boppaiah's order not allowing 16 rebel MLAs from taking part in the no-confidence motion against the corrupt Yeddy govt. As a Governor he can interpret only the status as on October 2010 , where as per this SC order, Yeddy govt is in minority. Due to foul play by expelling dissident MLAs, Yeddy got majority in Oct 2010, when actually he should have lost the no-confidence motion and should have resigned. The Governor is fully correct in interpreting the SC verdict with respect to the law of the land.

Better for Yeddy to behave himself as he is the servant of the people than take sides against the Governor .. Servants do not rebel against their masters ..

Is it not grouse against the CM and his coterie in misusing their official position to secure more land and gains for themselves and denying the same to other MLAs of the ruling coalition, that led to the rebel behaviour of some BJP MLAs ? Who is responsible for precipitating the whole issue at the first instance ?

The determined response by the CPM General Secretary Prakash Karat, in all humility, not to hold anyone responsible for the severe beating in their stronghold of W Bengal ( they still believe W Bengal is their stronghold ..) and not to learn any lesson from it, is surprising everybody.

Maybe, Karat is overseeing the total decimation and disintegration of his party with blessings from all other office bearers of his party. It is their sweet will and desire, so be it ..

Visit to Goa, mid May 2011..

Our 3-day visit to Goa from 13 to 16 May went out very well. Could meet lot of my colleagues in Goa Engg college. We tasted once again goan fish curry rice at George's bar and restaurant in Ponda, ice cream at Kalpana, visited TM Kurian achayan, had dinner at Jeevan's place, stayed at Padmavi for the night.

The second day started with a visit to Mariappan's house and the trip to Brian's house in margao.  From there we went to Carenbatim beach, between colva and benaulim, had lunch on the beach itself. Swam in 7 ft waves for almost 2 hours, chinnu had a very enjoyable time. We then got togeher at Brian's place where we had a quiet dinner and then singing sessions. Brian's b-i-law Hari and Panjim Chief Town planner  James was also present partly for the singing. Slept at Brian's p[lace.

Sunday while Brian and family went to church, we cleaned up the house and I had a good sleep. After a good lunch and some recording sessions, we saw a movie also, To Sir with Love.. By 3 PM we were out to see the newly acquired land in Curtorim. After some snaps we were off to Margao bus stand to catch the bus to Panjim to go back to Bangalore.
