Ruchika and her tormentor ...
If you have a daughter, you will probably be worried how can a Police Officer, a public servant, who is supposed to help keep law and order in the society, turn into a demon and hound minor girls for sexual favours and molest them ??
Should we allow such people to live in a civilised society like ours?
One fact we should never forget is that for one Ruchika whom the world knows, there are a thousand more Ruchikas who have gone into oblivion, at the hands of the demonised police forces.. We need to bring reforms to our police forces and try to lessen the shame the dept as a whole now carries because of some black sheep in their midst.
Rathore should be given the most extreme punishment after giving him a fair hearing .. It is for the safety and safe upbringing of our daughters.

Any better time for Indian cricket ?
M S Dhoni most successful Indian cricket captain, with Sachin, the most prolific cricketer of all time and Virender Sehwag, the cricketer of the decade, all grace the Indian team to make it the world's number one test team !!
Ruchika, Rathore, CBI and Judiciary ..
The decision by Ruchika's father to file a petition in the Supreme Court asking former DGP of Haryana, SPS Rathore be re-investigated for his role in abetment of the suicide of Ruchika is a laudable step.
The monster he was, SPS Rathore could not have gone any further in exerting his official and political influence to subvert the case accusing him of abetting the suicide of Ruchika, and the pursuant terror tactics against her family. His role in influencing CBI oficials to drop serious charges against hime proved successful ( the evasion of Press and the feigning of ignorance of a 10 year old case by former CBI Chief R K Raghavan is an indicator of his complicity in the crime..)
In all seriousness Ruchika' family will get justice and the way things are going, looks like Rathore monster will be going behind bars very soon. The Law Minister Veerappa Moily has been vociferous in asking for the re-trial of the case. Judicial reforms are also being initiated to see that no more such instances recur in India ..
Last evening's Big Fight on NDTV, which was discussing the Ruchika case with anchor Burkha Dutt was an absorbing one with all major players including Ms Kiran Bedi, Ruchika's parents, except Rathore making appearance and unitedly asking for a fair re-trial was the climax for these discussions.

N D Tiwari steps down in disgrace ..
The Governor of Andhra Pradesh N D Tiwari, formet Union Minister and CM for many years of UP and Utterakhand, had to shamefully quit from the governorship of Andhra Pradesh after being nailed by a Andhra TV channel of sex romp in the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad.
While some of our politicians think that they are unassailable, above law and can continue living in pomp and splendour the rest of their lives, wasting precious public money on their security and luxury, others do lead a sober, meaningful life serving the country. The NDTiwari incident has been a major blot on the Congress party and repairing the damage can take a lot of time.
The rise and fall of N D Tiwari is another example of the famous quote by Lord Acton, 'Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely !!'
The disgraceful stepping down of L K Advani as the leader of BJP, after being accused by Liberhan Commission of bringing the nation to the verge of communal discord and anarchy is another example of how selfish politicians with misguided childhood upbringing, misuse the gullible and educated public for their personal, petty benefits in the name of ideology.

Governor and Lokayuktha leading the charge against the Bellary goons ..
HE The Governor of Karnataka Shri Hansraj Bhardwaj and the Lokayuktha Justice Hegde, along with the Forum for Civil Liberties are in the forefront of the charge asking the CM Yediyurappa to take action against CBI probed ministers Janaradhana Reddy and his brother , the mining barons ( too shameful..) to prevent the thugs from Bellary from continuing to discharge the duties as enshrined in the Constitution of India as Ministers in Karnataka government.
The fact that Yediyurappa's hands are tied and it looks as if the directive from the BJP High Command is to let the issue die a natural death and not to institute any enquiry which will bring out the truth regarding illegal mining and antagonise these ministers ( monsters..?) from Bellary who have been the biggest contributors to the party fund ..
Sooner than later, CM will have to dump these rogues and SC will come up with exemplary punishment which will recover not only the money they have illegally got by selling robbed iron ore which belongs to the state, but also impose heavy fines on them not to repeat such wrongdoings in future. This will be a lesson for the other mining rogues from Bellary too to stick to the rules and not to assume extra constitutional powers on them..

First polluter advantage ?
Are the developed countries trying to bring in a first polluter benefits standard ( and stays polluting) , late polluters have cuts and embargoes imposed on them ..
This is what happened with the Nuclear non-proliferation Treaty .. (NPT)
Maybe we should seriously think of the Global Non-pollution Treaty (G-NPT) ( for the late polluters), fully beneficial to the early polluters who can enjoy polluting the planet without any prick of conscience ..
Where are the brains of the white man ??

Strength & Courage
Sent by a friend ..
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STRENGTH AND COURAGE
It takes strength to be firm.
It takes courage to be gentle.
It takes strength to stand guard.
It takes courage to let down your guard.
It takes strength to conquer
It takes courage to surrender.
It takes strength to be certain.
It takes courage to have doubt.
It takes strength to fit in.
It takes courage to stand out.
It takes strength to feel a friend's pain.
It takes courage to feel your own pain.
It takes strength to hide feelings.
It takes courage to show them.
It takes strength to endure abuse.
It takes courage to stop it.
It takes strength to stand alone.
It takes courage to lean on another.
It takes strength to love.
It takes courage to be loved.
It takes strength to survive.
It takes courage to live.

Mining thugs find the going tough !!
The Bellary Reddy brothers ( mining rogues and respectable ministers in the Karnataka ministry..) who caused lot of problems for Karnataka CM Yediyurappa, now finds the going tough as the CBI is ready to start the investigations into their illegal mining activities in the mining leases given to them on the recommendations of AP CM Rosaiah and the Supreme Court empowered committee.
The crores these brothers have illegally amassed over the years with YSR's son, Jagan, will be exposed and these cheats will be brought to justice .. India is not a banana republic and one cannot fool the people for long and get away with it. The news is very pleasing to the ears of all peace loving citizens who believe in the rule of law.
Even though their evil intents ( rs 600-700 crores) are not as severe as Raju of Satyam ( rs 8000 crores..) or Bernie Madoff ( Rs 2,50,000 crores..), evil intent needs to be punished and let us hope the law takes its rightful course in this greatest, populous, vibrant and most lively democracy of the world !!

shashi Tharoor at his best on India's soft power !!
India as a soft power, so eloquently and gracefully presented by none other than the former UN Deputy Secretary General and present member of Indian Parliament and a serving Union Minister of State..
This exhilarating speech will make everyone listening, sit back and take note of India, its potential and its promises, amidst all the problems of being the most open and tolerant society in human history, welcoming all peoples and cultures with open hands throughout history ..
Is Shashi Tharoor the next Nehru in the making ? a voracious reader, a prolific writer, an eloquent speaker and an ardent twitter !!
