What started in 1966 as humanity's yearning to explore a distant land out of the earth, after 57 years we find India, the fourth nation  joining this exclusive club. 🌹🌹👍 Also we are the first country in the world to land in the south pole of the moon ..

It is indeed a great act put together by India .. With a very small budget of about Rs 615 crores, ie. $ 75 million,  India could pull off this act. The spot of landing of Chandrayaan 3 is called Shivshakthi and the spot of the crashlanded Chandrayaan 2 is called Tiranga Point.  Click here for a video of the landing ..

Next month India will be launching its next mission to study the sun, Aditya L1, then Mangalyaan 2 and then Gaganyaan. Great time for India and all the space enthusiasts of the world.

India will get to unravel many of the secrets of apace and improve the living conditions for mankind.

Finding the large Linux users of the world ..

In my constant interactions with the students and my faculty colleagues at Alliance School of Business, I happened to create awareness about Linux OS in them.

I did some research to find out the big Linux users across the globe.

  • NASA, ISRO and SpaceX use Linux.
  • About 80% of global mobile phones work on Android, a Linux derivative.
  • The US Dept of Defense, US Navy, National Science Academy (NSA), FBI, CIA, Federal Aviation Administration use Linux majorly in their applications.
  • The world's four largest tech companies Amazon, Facebook, Google and Microsoft Azure use Linux. Apple has it's own iOS.
  • Other small tech companies IBM, Oracle, Samsung work on Linux.
  • Auto majors Toyota, Tesla, Volvo, BMW use Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) for their infotainment and engine guidance systems.
  • 97of the top 500 Super Computers of the world run on Linux OS, the other 3 percent run on Unix.
  • The Google Chrome OS is a Linux derivative.

We can use Windows for small desktop and laptop applications, in fact 75% of them do use Windows. It is only a matter of time before laptops and desktops completely migrate to Linux platforms given the massive tech., speed and memory  upgrades they are having.
