Sometime I wonder, how long the politicians, can continue to fool the people of our country and still get away with it. The only solace I get is when I read occasionally in the newspapers and on the Internet that the courts, though slowly, are taking all of them by the horns slowly and getting them caged.
Jaganmohan Reddy, son of late YSR Reddy of AP is the latest to fall in the grip of the law enforcing agencies. Yedyurappa, former CM of Karnataka is getting ready to count the bars of the Parappana Agrahara jail in Bangalore, having been indicted in land grabbing, mining scam and most recently as yesterday, in a case involving award of building control in the Upper Tungabhadra dam project to a blacklisted firm by taking favours for his son.
One can fool the law once, but these people take it for granted that they can continue doing this for all time. It is very strange to see how at the end, they get caught and are exposed in front of the same people who elected them to power. Party affiliations rarely matter then, as there is a limit to how long the party can carry liabilities and bad baggage.
Is it a demonstration of their low IQ to the public ?
