70 years back to this day .. !!

It was on September 1, 1939, German army opened fire in the Polish port of Gdansk. Ahead of her departure to Gdansk, to mark the 70 th anniversary of the start of WWII, Angela MerkEl, Chancellor of Germany told on German TV, "Germany attacked Poland, Germany started World War II. We caused unending suffering in the world. Sixty million dead ... was the result,".

History if not read. analysed and understood in its entirety by the young generation, may lead to more such blunders in future. Sixty million dead is not a small figure..

In India, the left led by the 'lone' Marxists and the right led by the RSS and BJP, pursued by dogmatic ideologies pose the greatest threat to the nation, even in the midst of positive trends in growth and development figures released by the Govt.

The most important lesson of all this is, to be on ETERNAL VIGIL !! The most demanding price one has to pay for DEMOCRACY !!

Talk on Risk Management in Projects in XIME ..

It was good listening to Mr Suryaprakash, Vice President Info Systems and Narendra, Delivery Manager and Head Risk management, Infosys talking to second year students of PGDM in XIME on Risk management on 31 August 2009. Hearing it right from the horse's mouth as to the importance Infy assigns to Risk management from the bidding stage to the handing over stage of the project, was very eye opening for the students. It gaye an idea of how Infosys works.

Developing a risk culture within the organisation with no penalties for failing in high risk projects was the best way Infy tackled risk in the organisation. Learning from earlier projects and identifying new risk areas was the mantra to be successful in projects.

Compared to the Industry standard where only 33 % of projects are successful having met requirements of time and within costs, the Infy experience of a success rate of 95 % plus is a reflection of their customer focus and the commitment to deliver on time...

Great talk ...

An interesting article on netas and security frisking ..

The parasites of the society, the politicians need to be told that they are the leaders of the people not demigods .. The pressure they bring on the normal law abiding citizens who are magnanimous enough to relax rules and provide security to these rascals are being taken for a ride by these same people.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/opinion/edit-page/Comment-Citizens-All/articleshow/4903143.cms  It is good that TOI has given the Khan frisking episode in US less importance. If these film stars and politicians pay their taxes, they will feel the pinch of wasteful extravaganza

The netas in our country with the sportspersons and filmstars are making a fool of themselves by shouting like crybabies when normal routines carried out on any individual is done on them at airpots. Flanking around with gun toting security guards, at the expense of the tax paying citizens of the country, these parasites get immense satisfaction blocking traffic and causing inconvenience to the public in public places. It is high time, the government reduced the security being given to such parasites. If they are killed by their enemies, it is only good for the country and law will take its course , like it does for the common citizens.
