First Australians .. the long drawn story of neglect, racial oppression and criminal injustice ..

The Australian PM in the Australian Parliament has publicly rendered the apology and owned up for the crimes committed against the first Australians,the indigenous peoples, including racial and sexual oppression. Does this public owning up mean that the indigenous people will be financially compensated, will their lands be given back to them ?? Will their lives, will their honour be restored ??

History is replete with incidents where the white men have first come as missionaries and traders, then colonise and finally subjugate the indigenous people. Ever since the white men got down from trees, this natural urge to subjugate and destroy the indigenous traditions and culture has been strong.
