With Thiruvanantharpuram airport and Vizhinjam port under his control till 2071 and 2075 respectively, both these core infrastructure are bound to grow world class, especially Vizhinjam, the deepest port in the world.. ๐๐๐๐
Being mechanical engineers, let us try to understand his forays in the field of energy.
The *Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) Khavda project* is the
*world's largest renewable energy plant, located on 538 square kilometers of barren land*
in Khavda, Kutch district, Gujarat, India.
Key Project Details
• Target Capacity: 30 GW (gigawatts) of total renewable energy capacity by 2029, comprising 26 GW of solar and 4 GW of wind power.
• Current Status: *Operational capacity reached 9.4 GW as of March/April 2026*, following a massive addition of over 5.1 GW during FY 2025–26.
• Scale: The site spans 538 sq. km—roughly five times the size of Paris, or equal to 80% area of the country of Singapore.
• Storage: Features a massive Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with 3.37 GWh commissioned.
• Technologies Used:
• High-efficiency bifacial n-type solar PV modules with single-axis tracking.
• *5.2 MW onshore wind turbines*.
• Waterless robotic module cleaning systems across the entire site.
• Impact: Designed to power approximately 17.4 million homes annually and offset 63.6 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year.
