The arrested customs officials at the Chennai airport need to be tried and given model, exemplary punishment. This evasion of paying customs duty and tax is a great drain on the Indian govt revenue, all because of the dirty mindset of a few customs officials who want to get rich soon. Little do they realise tht alll this money will finally only spoil them..
The customs dept needs to be cleansed, top to down, hope the CBI makes more such arrests across the country's airports and instil some discipline and values in the dept. !!
Like the Police Dept, these days it is very derogatory to even mention that one is employed in the Customs dept.. The common man looks down so much on these people !!
