yes, even tho there were a number of large stately staircases, there was an unknown compulsion for each maharajas' student to go up and down these spiral stairs at least once every day !!

incidently, perhaps influenced by these spiral stairs subconciously, i had used them in one of my designs, and the building went on to to get listed among 100 best spas in the world (among selected 2 from India) by a London based organisation called 'Quintessentially pure' !! pic attachd......
