Observe the largest circles denoting the GDP growth, the colours on the map differentiating the rich and emerging countries with the population in billions.
In population Karnataka is as big as Canada and Australia, UP as big as Russia and Britain or Japan and Britain, Maharashtra is as big as Japan. Kerala is as big as Australia. (ref Indian pop census..) China is India + UK.
Japan at 0.6%, Europe at 1.1%, UK at 1.3% and US at 1.8% growth in GDP are some of the slowest growing economies of the world.
