Cannot escape the law ..

The recent events in India, the arrest of criminals and politicians with criminal minds to take the nation and its people for a ride, is a start reminder that law will take its course in India, though slowly ..

Politicians , regional and national, walking in and out of courts trying to escape the long hand of law and justice, politicians moving the court for bail to get out of the jail, are all learning it the hard way.

It is reinforcing the old adage : In nature there are no rewards or punishments, only consequences for your actions !!

With Anna Hazare's movement gaining full support of the common man, the politicians who have found themselves on the wrong side of law, will find it difficult to come out of jail and also to get re-elected to the legislative bodies. The Movement against corruption is following up with all strength and vigour to see that criminals and thugs do not fight the elections any more. These criminals will never again get to represent the interests of the common man ..

Only people who show some signs of accountability to the public and the state will be elected by the people. State funding of elections, the right to recall and the right to reject candidates are great weapons with the public.

All these should reinforce the belief that POLITICIANS ARE THE SERVANTS OF THE PEOPLE, NOT THEIR MASTERS. THEIR POSITION IS ONLY AT THE FEET OF THE PUBLIC, SERVING THEM DAY IN AND DAY OUT.

If the representative is not okay to this idea, he is at liberty to give up this vocation and pursue  private interests.

If the politicians get more accountable to the public whom he/she represents, more than half of India's problems will get solved.
