India springs another surprise bringing Nano of the Tablet world ..

Aakash, the Android 2.2 based 7" tablet working on 366 MHz processor with 256 MB RAM, 2 GB memory (expandable to 32 GB) , optional wi-fi, 3G connectivity costs Rs 2999.00 in markets available from next month..

When the production volume crosses a million, Datawind, the Canadian manufacturer operating out of Hyderabad, says it can provide 1.2GHz processor with improved RAM at the same cost.

Designed initially at IIT Delhi by a B Tech student and followed up at IIT Rajasthan, this tablet is sure to make competitors like iPad, Samsung, Mercury etc run for their money !!

The only fear is will all the tall claims fall by the side, hope not !!
