Flowers in a bronze kalasam of water ..

Every morning at some offices in the city of Bangalore, staff and guests are greeted by floating flowers kept in an wide necked bronze / steel vessel (kalasam)  filled with water.

The flower arrangement is left to the creativity of the person arranging it, but this form of greeting a newcomer in the morning to the home / campus is an age old custom in India across almost all states.

Depending on the water being changed, the flowers will remain fresh throughout the day and in some cases the flowers may even be used for a couple of days.

The positive energy this flower arrangement radiates on the people is tremendous !!
