These are snaps of Alleppey taken more than 100 years ago, around 1900 AD of Alleppey. Alleppey was started aa a port town around 1780 AD by Raja Kesava Das. By 1900 it was called the Venice of Rthe East with flourishing trade with all parts of coastal India, China, Malay peninsula and Arabia.
