Seeing Trichur (Trissur) pooram live and seeing the Nehru trophy boat race on the Punnamada lake near Alleppey live have been the two great events which I still miss in Kerala .....
I stayed at both these places, Trissur and Alleppey for three years each and can't believe that I missed out on both these cultural and sports events of global fame ...
Trissur Pooram is the temple festival and the competition between the two temples Paramekkavu and Vadakkumnathan in the city centre showing off their percussion skills, pachydermal assets and pyrotechnic prowess !!
