ISRO lends a helping hand to NASA to launch satellites ..

On Monday, 20 June 2016, when India launches 22 satellites aboard PSLV at dirt-cheap rates of $5000/kg of payload, one third charge of SpaceX and less than 10% charge of NASA and ESA, the world will sit back and take note !

Eventhough DRDO is doing well, if only HAL too had great leaders like at ISRO, where would we have been ? By now India would have had the capability to design and build complex military and commercial airplanes.

China is surprised at the pace at which India is forging ahead in space technology, being at least 30 years behind India already. (the reasons why China is behind India is given below). Our competitor is only the rich spoilt boy, NASA, flush with funds, but cannot do things at controlled costs. ..

13 of these 22 are US satellites itself which tells us the reliability these rockets have in the global satellite launching business.. ! US lacks the wherewithal, resources or the critical technology for low-cost multiple satellite launches ..

All through we have been observing that China does things in size, scaling up well, not smartly.

1. It is not the weight of the satellites, but how the system has technology to  release multiple satellites at different orbits and diff orientation which is difficult. China also has this technology.
2. Second, Chinese space missions have not gone beyond earth's orbit, India has done successful Inter-planetary expeditions across the solar system..
3. Third, China is still at a preliminary stage in developing a reusable launch vehicle, India is way ahead.
4. India is the cheapest launch provider in the world for low orbit missions and deep space inter planetary expeditions. China is yet to demonstrate it's cost competitiveness !
5. Astrosat space telescope, though less capable, is India's answer to the Hubble. China is yet to enter this high tech area, though they have great plans. India is definitely way ahead of China is space technology as all indications point that India is smarter than China.

The fact that US has already given up launching light satellites at low earth orbit is evident from the fact that they have asked India to launch 13 of their satellites next week (weight is just a parameter that can be scaled up, but technology is the crucial aspect !), as they neither have resources nor technology to undertake complex low-cost multiple launch missions to low earth orbits.
