The six top values in Alibaba, the house that Jack Ma built ..

The "Six Veins" that form the core values of Alibaba are "customer first, teamwork, embrace change, integrity, passion, and commitment". Generic-sounding as they are, the company treats them very seriously; commitment to the Six Vein Spirit Sword accounts for half of employee appraisals.

Jack Ma's simplicity in dealing most importantly with customers and employees and disdain for shareholders is typical Alibaba style. To live a simple life, even when one is the chairman of the world's largest organisation, beating other brick and mortar retail organisation like Walmart and the world's largest energy company, Exxon Mobil is no mean task.
