Happy and contented pups at Cartman ..

Whenever we go out of station from Bangalore for a few days, we were initially sceptic as to whom could we trust our 10 year old Labrador Retriever, Silky to, whether it would get proper food, walk etc..

But to our surprise we found that there was one centre very near to our house in 6 th block in Koramangala in Bangalore. CARTMAN kennel. Click here for map . Their website ..

When Prof. N S Ramaswami, founder Director of IIM Bangalore was allotted by Karnataka govt this small piece of land in Koramangala, sixth block, which houses a good park and a shelter for pets and stray animals, little did the people around the area think that this would turn out to be a great place for animals and nature lovers in Bangalore. Even though Prof Ramaswamy is no more, the centre is being ably run by doctors who manage the affairs of the centre well.

Cartman building front side ..

My daughter Susan has started volunteering from this morning at CARTMAN. She took the small dogs this morning for a walk and even fed them. Continuing it again for the next three weeks, I am sure she and her friends from Christ College Bangalore I PUC, will love and remember this volunteering for a long time to come.
